I've been a busy boy; so what else is new?!

WOW! A lot has happened since my last post, but thist post is merely a formality. If you feel like you miss the scheides myster, feel free to drop me a line or give me a ring! Here's a big update on some misc. stuff that's been going on with me over the last month or so:

I'll start off with the most annoying but cutest addition to my house, my roommate's wee little puppy, spencer: he's now 6 months old, and I swear, for some reason he turns rabid anytime he finds his way into my room. He'll start knawing and biting like he's fighting for his life! I once found a pair of boxers that he had gotten into, and the entire hip section was completely gone. I mean he had to have eaten the entire thing. Amazing. But he's fun to play with.

My brother came down the other weekend and we found ourselves drooling over too many cars at the Mpls/St. Paul Auto Show. I sat in Porsche's new 911 Turbo, and I still believe that I was born to drive that car. Me sitting in that car is like putting on that favorite pair of underwear or favorite shirt...it just feels right.

Now, I know I rant and rave about how great turbos are to anyone that sees me on a daily basis, and no matter how much flack I give anyone about anything, I want everyone to know that it won't mean a thing when you find your daily driver sitting on blocks for THREE WEEKS because the transmission is borked or some such nonsense. If you ever get a chance to buy a sports car, I say go for it; but understand that the path you are traveling down is a dangerous road (more uncommonly referred to as the go-fast-crack-pipe) of buying go-fast parts and other such nonsense. Before you know it, your car will have a 'regular car' problem and you will be crying. The only thing that will make you feel better is a man named Rick giving you advice on how to put everything back together yourself!

Now, two more things--have you ever seen the new Harley V-Rod? Let me just say, nothing that'll take your mind off your broken-arse car than sitting on one of those. Very nice. Very shiny. Very expensive.

Lastly, as much as I kick and swear at my car, I love driving it when it's in proper working order. And as much I kick and swear at my brother, I love him anyways. It looks like we're going to be working on a little bit of a joint project for a while, and with any luck this thing should see 11's by this time next year.

Thanks again for stopping by scheides.com, upcoming events include another tear-down-the-walls party at the Mankey Village and now that summer is upon us, it looks like it's time to head to the lake!
