To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Chris Scheidecker and I recieved my bachelor's degree in Physics at
St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN in May of 2001. My degree also includes a concentration in Computer Science. It is my goal to obtain a challenging position that utilizes my computing expertise, within an atmosphere that fosters the continual exposure to new computing tools and procedures with a global perspective.

I have a varied work experience, which includes everything from pouring pints in a pub abroad to starting my own computer repair service in college. I have also donated my time as a volunteer working with kids and adults for organizations such as Young Life and ESL and worked to improve the way a small chain of kid's hair salons does business through the design and implementation of a small Linux and NT-based network. Of all my work experience, I have enjoyed working with information technology, and specifically Network Security and Administration, most.

I enjoy working with and am excited to continually learn more about many different aspects of information technology. I have experience working with most operating systems, programming in several languages, systems and network administration, and a wide variety of software applications. I am extremely eager to contribute to and learn from the inside workings of a large-scale project, while at the same time branching out and becoming part of a global community.

I like working in a team environment towards a common goal. As a member of your team I would bring a fresh attitude, enthusiasm to learn, and a readiness to get the job done. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing any potential opportunities that may fit my situation.

Thank you for your consideration,

Chris Scheidecker
